As a program participant for the Google Computer Science Summer Institute, I collaborated with a Google engineer and student partner to create a live Pacman game using JavaScript. Through ideation, debugging, prototyping, and a final presentation to a team of Google engineers, we delivered a playable game.
As a leader in the first generation of Google Code Next, I was exposed to a variety of technology disciplines that combined my love of creativity and computer science. I created projects in 3D printing, screen printing, merch design, website building, and my favorite was music production. While learning Python through the music production software Earsketch, I was able to use code to produce a song I had written. I then imported my sounds into Ableton where I added vocals and further produced the track.
In 2019, I participated in the UCLA Design Media Arts Summer Institute where I took introductory courses in graphic design, game design, web, and print. As a final project for my program, I created a futuristic world using Unity, utilizing skills that I learned in a world-building course.
For my final web design project at the UCLA Design Media Arts Summer Institute, I created a website using HotGlue to explore the Anthropocene and human's impact on the climate. I utilized animation graphics, collage, and typography to guide users on a journey to how they can make an impact.
